Junior Content Creator
About the Role
We're looking for a Junior Content Creator to support Blk Dot Coffee through Everyday Cultr, a brand storytelling studio that partners with culture-forward brands to create meaningful, modern content.
You'll help bring Blk Dot Coffee’s story to life through short-form video and will be creating the kind of content that feels real, warm, and unpolished in the best way. Think Instagram Reels and TikToks that look like they came from someone who genuinely loves the brand, not a corporate marketing team.
You’ll work closely with creative direction from Everyday Cultr and get exposure to how brand, content, and media decisions are made in real time. As new drinks launch, events happen, or moments unfold in store, you’ll help turn those into compelling visual content.
This is a hands-on, entry-level role for someone early in their creative journey who wants real experience, strong portfolio work, and a deeper understanding of how culture-driven brands show up online.
If you’re a marketing, media, film, or communications student looking to build real-world experience with a culture-driven brand, this role was designed with you in mind.
What You'll Do
Film short-form video content for social media (Instagram and TikTok)
Edit multiple short videos each week (UGC-style, not overly polished)
Create content around new drinks, in-store moments, and brand happenings as they roll out
Capture everyday moments in-store (drinks, details, baristas, atmosphere)
Execute creative direction provided by the team (themes, tone, style)
Deliver finished videos on schedule
Apply feedback to improve storytelling, pacing, and editing over time
Who You Are
Curious about content and visual storytelling
Comfortable filming people and being on camera when needed
Reliable and consistent with deadlines and communication
Detail-oriented when it comes to lighting, pacing, and composition
Open to feedback and able to take creative direction
Aligned with Blk Dot Coffee’s culture and aesthetic
Experience & Skills (Helpful, not required)
Don’t worry if you’re still learning. If you have the interest and willingness to improve, we’d still love to hear from you.
Some experience creating short-form video (personal projects, school work, or experimenting on your own)
Basic familiarity with video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar)
Familiarity with Instagram and TikTok formats
Examples of past work or projects you’ve tried (does not need to be professional)
What This Role Focuses On
This role is focused on creating short-form video content.
It is not a social media management or strategy position. You will not be responsible for planning content calendars, writing captions, posting content, or managing social accounts.
The goal is to consistently create strong video content while developing your skills in visual storytelling.
The Setup
Part-time, contractor role through Everyday Cultr
Entry-level by design, with mentorship and feedback
Filming takes place on location at Blk Dot Coffee stores (Role is based in Orange County, CA)
You don’t need professional gear. An iPhone is totally fine to use.
You’ll work closely with guidance while developing consistency and craft
This role works well alongside classes or other part-time commitments
This is a collaborative role where you’ll work closely with creative direction, receive real feedback, and learn by doing.
